I only just got curious and upon better understanding I found that I’m demisexual

A thing I hate that isn't really about being ace but relates to it is "well just because X character is canonically ace and/or aro doesn't mean they don't have sex/romantic relationships!!!!" It's so annoying to have like 4 characters that are canonically ace or aro, and people basically ignore it just for shipping purposes. It gives me the same vibe as a female character canonically being into women specifically, and people still shipping her with men because "they don't explicitly show disgusting near men!" Like geez. Just leave the small, *small* rep we get alone! This is a rant, but it's just so exhausting to deal with in Fandom spaces >:[

I’m demiromantic/sexual which falls under the aroace spectrum. So yes (from what I understand this is all new to me) I haven’t met the right person but that’s ME. There are many who don’t feel attraction be it romantic and/or sexual at all, if sex is so bad why be so weird about it anyway? Edit: Added a bunch of pins and stickers to my Etsy cart to buy when I get my next check, they’re all really cute. Felt weirdly freeing adding some aroace related things to my pin army for the first time.

I will always find it funny when people practice religions that have Nuns and Monks/other celibate positions, not realize you can have a life without sex. Also Ace male total Sense. GOD THIS IS SO TRUE! I am in the aroace spectrum and by that I mean no sexual attraction (a bit repulsed actually) and just a bit of romantic attraction. I haven't told my irl friends about it since they actively mock people in the aromantic and asexual spectrums saying 'they just want to feel especial' or what my parents say which is literally everything you mentioned in the video. It seems like people don't understand the idea of not feeling attracted to people, which is wild to me.

I think ive only really told people im aroace on the Internet, ive also gone through a lot of different sexualities and landed on aroace. I havent told my parents or my friends and i feel like if i told my mom she would ask me uncomfortable questions and possibly say its just a phase or something. I have a girlfriend and im thinking of breaking up with her. Dating and and $3x are not really for me. Looking at the spectrum of asexuality im in like a really dark grey.

Ive been questioning if im asexual for the past like 2 months and i told my friend and she was like "well youre still young maybe wait until youve actually tried it to see if you like it or not" (shes only 2 years older than me) PEDUDBWPSDBEO NO like i js dont want to and its not abt actually doing it, its abt the attraction. I don’t feel attracted to people sexually and i dont think i ever have, maybe in the far future but all i know now is that im not attracted to people like that. With identifying as asexual sometimes I felt like I didn't belong under this category because of certain ways I felt but after watching a few of your vids it reassured me that the term asexual doesn't just have some cut and dry definition, and now I am absolutely confident I fall on the asexual spectrum and feel better about myself now thankyou so much.

I'm closeted demi and my dad is seriously aphobic. He thinks it's a medical problem, or that we're lying, and that it's not possible to not experience sexual attraction and we're just repressed or picky, and that we're messing up kids' development by making them think they're ace and conditioning them to repress themselves and want sex less and have messed up sex lives. It's insane 😭

Why is everyone so mean to ace and bi people? Like seriously its genuinely stupid. The entire sexual spectrum is represented in nature and even if it wasn't that doesn't matter, people like dudes, ladies, both, or neither and shouldn't be criticized for their underlying biology and neurology.
